How Treatment Works
Every course of treatment begins with a thorough consultation where I learn about your situation, your history and your goals. From there, I create a personalised treatment plan that typically combines:
- Cognitive techniques — identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns
- Clinical hypnosis — reinforcing positive changes at a subconscious level
- Self-help tools — techniques you can use between sessions and after treatment ends
Most conditions require between 3 and 6 sessions, though this varies. Smoking cessation is typically a single session. I'll always give you an honest estimate during your initial consultation. (Source: MedlinePlus).
